Smoke detector

So the smoke detector in my room has a low battery. I have very tall ceilings in my room so even with the tallest chair I own, I can't reach it to switch out the batteries. Luckily I am not home enough to let it bother me but it makes this annoying beeping sound that when I am home, it drives me crazy.
