My sister

My sweet sister's husband was in a dirt bike accident 2 weeks ago and has no feeling below the waste. We are super hopeful that things will be better but as of now, its looking like he may not be able to walk again. We are trying to do everything we can to take care of my sister, Nate and their baby Ashlyn. Everyone has been so supportive and has offered so much support and prayers. We have felt it and it is so appreciated.

We are putting together a fundraiser event with a live auction, dinner and a band for everyone to come and enjoy each others company and raise money for Kendall. We are also doing a raffle and have 3 great prizes to offer. First, is a Vespa scooter from Barber Bros. Second, is a 40 inch HD TV with a surround sound system and third, is a Sony Blue Ray Lap top. You can get your raffle tickets now. They are $5 a piece or 6 for $25. All the money goes to my sister and her family to help with the recovery of Nate. Let me know if you are interested in entering into the raffle and would like some tickets! Tis the season to give right? :)

dear kendall,

while searching through my favorite blogs, i found this post. given that you are in a search for a baby name, i thought the website she suggested may be helpful in narrowing it down. i know you have many names on the table...keslie, kylie, ruby sue, brooklyn (which ps, my vote is still with ruby sue) but you may get lost in finding a name you and nate both agree on.

Out of the top 20 baby names in america (acording to the website) my favorites are:

For the girls...Isabella, Ava, Mia, Olivia, and Grace.

For the guys...Logan and Jacob.

what are some baby names you like? do you like the crazy ones?

Kendall, how about Hud, Teddy Jo, or Dweezil?

something to think about...

little brother makes me proud

here is a paragraph my little brother who is on a mish in Africa (I still can't believe he is in Africa!?!) wrote in a letter he had to send to his district. my mom forces me to retype different paragraphs from his weekly emails so they can be put in the monthly newsletter. while i do love my brother, he has major troubles with grammar and spelling so taking the time to edit his stuff is very time consuming. it is a great experience to be able to re read his testimony over and over and over. i sure do love and miss him in my life.

"You now know the main reason why we baptize people. It’s more than just increasing the membership of our church. It is the way that people will get the greatest of all gifts, eternal life. As you learn to love the people you will find out that you are not baptizing the people just to show that you baptized a lot of people, but that you love them and that you want them to have eternal life. When you find this love your mission will turn around. Brethren I know that we have the true gospel here on the earth. Our Heavenly Father loves us that is why he called a prophet here on the earth to restore his church. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that restored the eternal gospel on the earth, and that he restored the power to baptize people and give them the Holy Ghost. Brethren I love you all and for all that you have done. I leave these words in the sacred name of Jesus Christ amen."

so excited

tomorrow night , the fam and i are headed to the red butte gardens. red butte gardens are up at the U. inside the gardens lives a stage where we will get to listen to this man play. although it is a little old school and the music videos are a quite entertaining, he is prob one of my top 5 singers of all times. ever since i was a little girl, i can remember my dad listening to him and me dancing along. though i am not a little girl anymore, you will still find me and my dad dancing to our favorites which you can find here and here. expect to see a full report soon.

along the river

so my dad has a camp spot along the provo river reserved for the week. i love that we can just drive 10 minutes up the canyon, park along the river and campout. dad made hamburgers and mom made a salad. my parents are on a diet so the hamburger consisted of no bun and mustard only. it still was delicious though. we ate, sat along the river and watched johnny carson. it was great.
